We Are Trees is slowly taking a front seat in my iPod playlist. The band from Virginia, led by James Nee, just released an EP entitled Boyfriend. This has been, and will continue to be, a very popular blogged about band. They are compared to Grizzly Bear and Department of Eagles, or more specifically Daniel Rossen (of Grizzly Bear and Department of Eagles). I could see We Are Trees opening for some great bands this fall, and then releasing a stellar full length album. This is definitely some of the better music that has come out this year. Take a listen to Boyfriend. You won't be disappointed.
