This is a personal pick for album of the week. Is it the best album out in the past couple weeks; maybe not. Ben Folds is someone I have been following for a long time. I love the guy; always will. Also, it's sort of a group love. Many, you know who you are, feel the same way I do. The cool thing about Lonely Avenue is that it is a colloboration of Ben Folds and Nick Hornby. That's correct. The author of such amazing works as High Fidelity, An Education, and About A Boy. The pairing worked like this: Nick wrote the lyrics and then Ben wrote the music to match. In my honest opinion, it is a pretty beautiful and fun album. Simple. Not over the top. Fans of Ben will be happy. This is one of his better albums in a while. Maybe he has Nick to thank for that.
